Fast bowler Gus Atkinson Compounds England's Injury Concerns.

Gus Atkinson increased the injury concerns plaguing England after leaving the field on the second morning of the fourth Ashes Test in the Ashes series.

Atkinson pulled up with his hamstring post-delivery in his spell during the morning session.

Team management stated Atkinson felt some "soreness" and was to take time off the field for further assessment "over the next few hours".

The concluding match of the tour beginning on 4 January starts on Sunday, 4 January.

England have already lost fast bowlers Mark Wood due to knee trouble and another paceman because of a side injury on this Ashes tour.

A replacement bowler was added to the party as injury reinforcement.

Atkinson struggled in the opening two Tests, claiming a mere a handful of scalps.

He was left out for the Adelaide match, only to be brought back for the Melbourne Test to fill the void.

The county bowler improved at the MCG, claiming a couple of wickets in Australia's first innings, and scoring 28 runs while batting being one of only three English batsmen to get into double digits.
