Mohamed Salah Extends Apology to Squad, Reveals Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has shared that the Egyptian forward expressed regret to the entire Liverpool squad in the wake of the uproar from his public comments.

What Happened

He was omitted from a vital match after making accusations and suggesting his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I apologise.’”

The manager has refused to disclose on whether he was apologised to from the veteran striker.

Jones insisted that the dressing room atmosphere remained positive. “He was the exact same Mo, he had a big smile on his face and everybody was exactly the same with him,” the midfielder explained.

Jones also implied that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “I get that there are specific approaches you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just sit out, then I think that’s concerning.”

Team Form

Their results have stayed unbeaten in the matches since the initial controversy. Jones believes the outburst were not designed to destabilise the squad.

“In moments of frustration, it’s always been from a place of caring,” the midfielder stated. “That chapter is closed and we’re building chemistry, getting results and on a positive run.”
