Nico O’Reilly Another confident showing from the rising star after his first cap versus another side. A teammate did not capitalize on the most of a gorgeous touch behind the opposing backline. The left-back spot is his to lose already. 7

The newcomer His maiden beginning in an England shirt. Somewhat loose on the ball but his whipped corners posed a danger. An effective game manager for the boss to utilize against defensive opponents. Shown a yellow for a poorly timed challenge. Six

Declan Rice Set-pieces from corners and free-kicks caused problems. Enjoyed freedom to drift in left midfield but was offside when the ball arrived in shooting positions. Awarded a well-earned rest on the hour mark. 6

The star midfielder Functioned in a high position out wide while also contributed with dirty work. Displayed moments of class but mishit an effort over. Replaced in the closing stages by a teammate, his competition, after being booked. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with England’s best chance before halftime, his strike well saved by the Albanian keeper. As Quansah hanging back, he was forced to provide width on the right although his balls into the box were inconsistent. Taken off for the final quarter-hour. 6

Harry Kane The decisive figure with his 77th and 78th finishes in an England shirt. The opener a classic opportunist's goal while the second an excellent finish with his head following a clever run from his marker. Now 32, he continues to improve and the side stand a real opportunity next summer with him leading the line. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Struggled to get into the game on the left flank. Was presented with a decent opportunity when set up by the midfielder yet Strakosha made the save. His replacement made much more of an impact after coming on. 5
