The National Basketball Association season starts now, signaling the initial occasion in a decade that Aussie two most prominent hoops names – Ben Simmons and Patty Mills – are without a roster spot.

If there were any doubts Patty Mills was set to retire, he addressed it with a workout video posted on his accounts recently, showing the veteran is still in form and focused on landing another league deal.

Simmons' intentions is uncertain after an off-season in his homeland, angling and using with a Sherrin. Even though he posted on Instagram last month to reject suggestions he was retired, the former All-Star – an All Star as recently as 2021 – has yet to surface.
